Minimum Standards for hiring include: A U.S. Citizen, high school graduate or hold a GED certificate, minimum 18 years old at time of hire, possess or be able to obtain a valid Iowa Chauffeur’s driver’s license or CDL license by time of hire, maintain compliance with City’s Admin. Policy on Operation of City Vehicles, no felony convictions, no disqualifying misdemeanor within the last 7 years, speak/read/write English language, certified as an EMT by the testing date, pass written examination and physical ability testing. Must be able to pass retirement system medical examination, pre-employment drug testing, have vision of 20/100 or better corrected to 20/20, pass color vision and hearing standards. Pass background investigation and oral interview.
Starting wage is $19.57-$20.32 hourly plus excellent benefits package.
