Firefighter/Paramedic – Lateral – Petaluma, California

$91,506.53 – $100,762.30 Annually


Equivalent to graduation from high school.

Ambulance experience as a Paramedic and previous firefighting experience in a paid capacity.

Required Licenses/Certifications
Must possess a valid California Class C driver license. Must obtain a valid California Class C driver license with a Firefighter Endorsement or higher within 36 months of hire.

Physical Requirements
Must pass and maintain physical requirements as specified by the City and be able to wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic

Must be currently employed as a paid, full-time firefighter/paramedic with at least one-year experience in that capacity. ALS medical transport experience highly desirable.
NO CPAT required for lateral candidates.
Current accreditation as a Paramedic in advanced life support, either through the National Registry or State of California.
Sonoma County (Coastal Valleys EMS) accreditation as a paramedic is required within three months of hire.
CSMF Firefighter 1 certification or FF1 Academy Completion required.
