Education and Experience
In addition to the education and experience listed above, a paramedic must:
Be certified by the State of Florida as a Paramedic and approved by the County Medical Director to function under his/her license.
Possess and maintain ACLS, PALS, and ITLS certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In addition to the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities listed above a paramedic must have:
Thorough knowledge of Volusia County Medical Protocol.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general medical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
Certification as a Firefighter by the State of Florida.
Certification as an EMT by the State of Florida.
