The County of Santa Barbara in California is now hiring for the position of Firefighter Trainee/EMT-P. The closing date for this firefighter job is 2/25/19. To qualify for this job, you must:
ALL APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS THESE EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS (QUALIFICATIONS) AT THE TIME YOU APPLY WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA BARBARA.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); and,
Successful completion (passing score of 70% or greater) of the Firefighter Candidate Testing Center (FCTC) written exam, obtained within the year preceding the opening date of the recruitment (February 27, 2018 to February 26, 2019); and,
Possession of a current California EMT-P license.
Possession of a valid certificate of successful completion of the IAFF/IAFC Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT), as certified by the California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee, dated January 22, 2019, through January 21, 2020.
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License at the time of appointment.
California Firefighter Endorsement is required within one year of appointment.
Applicants hired after December 26, 1988 shall be disqualified from further employment consideration if they use tobacco products in any form on or off duty.
