Emergency Dispatcher I/II - Prince George's County, Maryland
Receives emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Sheriff, Fire/EMS; enters accurate and pertinent information into the Computer Aided Dispatch system; maintains status on all personnel units assigned to the channels; responds to the public safety personnel requests for information; and performs other related assignments as directed.
High School graduate or GED certificate plus one (1) year of dispatching experience in a public safety or emergency medical services environment; or an incumbent Prince George's County PSC Emergency Dispatch Aide with one (1) year experience. All non-incumbents must pass a computerized pre-employment test.
Desirable qualifications include a demonstrated proficiency with Windows Applications and Software (e.g. Windows 2007, XP, etc.)
